UNM Stadium PoliciesUNIVERSITY STADIUM POLICIES
Bag Policy – All bags of reasonable size (as determined by event staff) will be allowed into the stadium but will be searched. Persons carrying bags or chair back seats will be required to enter through a specific bag check security gate at each entrance.
Banners/Signs – Banners or signs are allowed into University Stadium. They must be of reasonable size (as determined by event personnel), contain no advertising, offensive material or foul language. The sign must not be held up while game action is taking place.
Camera Policy – Still frame and video cameras are permitted in University Stadium.
Chair Backs Seats – Chair back seats larger than 11”x18” are not permitted into University Stadium. Fans wishing to bring in a chair back seat will be required to have the seats checked at the bag check entrance.
Field Admittance – Only team personnel, media and credentialed bowl employees are authorized to be on the field. Anyone going onto the field without proper authorization is subject to expulsion from the stadium and could face prosecution.
Prohibited Items – The following items will not be allowed into University Stadium: Food, water, beverages of any kind, cans, bottles, alcohol, baby seats, balloons, beach balls, coolers, explosives, fireworks, folding chairs, illegal drugs, laser pointers, artificial noisemakers such as horns, drums, bells, whistles etc per Mountain West Conference rules; Pets (except service dogs assisting those with disabilities); Weapons of any kind
Any other item that in the judgment of game management staff poses a safety hazard or detracts from the ability of others to enjoy the event
Any unlawful items are subject to confiscation, and the person in possession of such items is subject to ejection from the stadium and/or arrest.
Re-Entry – Re-entry is not permitted at University Stadium.
Smoking – Smoking is permitted in the designated smoking area on the SW concourse at University Stadium
Strollers – Strollers are permitted but must be collapsible and fit under your seat to avoid a nuisance to others.
Will Call – All will call is located at the northeast corner of the stadium. Specific windows are set-up for the general public, teams, and bowl participant allotments.
University Stadium Parking & Tailgating Policies
Advertising – No advertising vehicles or sings will be allowed unless approved in advance by the UNM Athletics Department. The UNM Athletic Department has the right to remove any signage in the parking lots.
Alcohol – Individuals of legal drinking age- 21 or older- who have a ticket to the game that day may consume alcoholic beverages in accordance with University policy. Alcohol may not be brought into the stadium. Consumption of alcohol by minors is illegal. In addition, it is illegal to provide alcohol to minors.
Containers – No glass containers, party balls or kegs will be permitted on University property. No alcohol, outside food or drink may be brought into the stadium.
Handicapped Parking – Handicapped parking is located in many lots around University Stadium. Overflow handicap spots are located on the south end of Kachina lot and Corporate lot.
Lots Open – The parking lots open five (5) hours prior to kickoff.
Noise – No live bands, public address systems or excessively loud stereo systems are permitted unless contracted or approved by the UNM Athletic Department.
Novelty Stands – No apparel, souvenir, food or beverages are to be sold in the parking lots unless contracted through the UNM Athletic Department.
Parking – Vehicles must park consistent with the lane markings. Parking is $5 for all lots.
RV Parking – RV Parking is available in any lot excluding the Zia Lot. Overnight parking is available only in the Tailgate 2 lot for $35. Game day parking is $20 in the Manzano, Sandia, Isotopes 1, Isotopes 2, Isotopes 3, Vista, Rio Grande, and Tailgate 2.
Tailgating Ends – All fans are required to enter the stadium at least 30 minutes prior to kickoff. Alcoholic beverages are prohibited inside University Stadium. All tailgating activities must be concluded by the start of the game and are not allowed to resume at half time or post game. Any loitering or consumption of alcohol in the parking lots after the start of the game is a violation of University policy.
Drinking & Driving – The New Mexico Bowl reminds all fans not to drink and drive. Please choose a designated driver before you consume any alcoholic beverage.
